I have taken 200mm off the end of the piers at the road and plan to face the new stone wall onto them so there will be no pier. Brian seems to think the council may think its too close to the road to allow a clear view of oncoming traffic and thinks we should move the wall in 200mm more. I think I'm going to leave it the way we have it prepared. The pics show clearly where the existing wall and pier finished and they new wall will not be going any further out than that.
