Description
A Wicklow Estate Treasure
Our bees at Killruddery House and Gardens have access to some of the most beautiful forage in Ireland. The 2025 Spring flow was particularly vibrant, allowing the bees to gather a rich variety of nectar from Apple blossom, Whitethorn, Horse Chestnut, and Sycamore. Because of the unique geography and plant life of this historic estate, this honey tastes completely different to our Glenasmole, Lucan, or Ballycullen varieties.
Traditionally Harvested
This is 100% raw Wicklow honey. I use a simple, traditional extraction method: the honey is taken from the frames and passed through a coarse sieve only. This removes large wax debris but preserves the tiny particles of beeswax and local estate pollen that define high-quality raw honey.
We never heat-treat, fine-filter, or process our honey. As this is a living, raw product, it will naturally crystallize over time. This crystallization is a natural guarantee of the honey’s purity and raw state.
Delicious when paired with fresh Wicklow cheeses or simply drizzled over warm scones.
