We contacted Olly yesterday about going up to his farm today, even though it's a Sunday, and he was so accommodating and had no issues with us going up, he's a true gentleman!
We arrived at the farm just after 3pm and after my husband had a sample of some of Olly's homemade cider we were off home with three jars of honey 😁
We've been home less than half an hour and we've already tried all three.
We selected the Lucan soft set honey, the Wicklow heather honey and the lucan spring honey and although they are all devine , the soft set honey is the outright favourite at the moment, although the others come a mighty close 2nd!
We've decided that we have to try some of the other honey before we can ultimately award the soft set honey as the one we love the best, so as soon as these are almost gone we'll be trying some of the others.
If you're looking for good Irish honey, you'd be doing yourself a favour trying the honey from Olly's farm, it's fab.

You haven’t really tasted honey until you’ve tried Ollys Farm. It is irresistible and you will never go back to shop bought. It truly is a testament to the hard work of Olly and the beauty of nature.

Since the amazing results from the research carried out by TCD was released in 2018 on the health benefits of heather honey and its comparison to Manuka, the demand has really increased.
Heather honey is a tricky crop to get the bees to collect and it’s very time consuming and labour intensive to get into jars. Don’t worry though, if this product is out of stock, we operate a waitlist. This ensures you hear about the next batch once it is available.
From bees to cheese and geese to sheep, Olly writes about it all. Follow Olly’s journey as he creates a self sufficient, waste free farm life nestled in the Dublin Mountains.
