Darcey's horns are off

Well they finally fell off although not fully according to plan. I had being keeping her indoors until they fell off but while milking one evening she knocked one off while up on the milking stand. The other one fell off a couple of days ago. Once the hair that I shaved off at the base of the horns grows back she will look even better. But I think overall it was a great success.

Is this method less painless/traumatic than taking a loppers or saw to them? I don't really know, I do still think it hurts but not to the same extent as the other options. She seems well over it now and is enjoying her new freedom of sticking her head in and out of any fence she wants.

 And after
