Carrots lifted

Lifted the carrots today in the poly tunnel with the plan on storing them in compost for a few months and see how they turn out. From the crop we lifted I think that 2 full beds of carrots would last us for the year.

A layer of compost in the bottom and then arrange the carrots with out them touching off each other. Another layer of compost is added and then more carrots and so on until the box is filled. Its then left in a cold place until needed, somewhere that it doesn't go below freezing.
