Double winners at the Great Taste Awards 2022

Better late than never, the Great Taste Awards were announced a couple of weeks ago and I’d no idea.

It had been a crazy few weeks harvesting summer honey, preparing and moving hives to the heather that it totally slipped by.

I was chatting with a few other bee farmers when it came up in conversation and I logged in to see I’d been awarded 2 gold stars for both my heather honey and blossom honey and I’m absolutely delighted with the results.

The awards are the ultimate international awards for food and drink and to have multiple awards over the last 5 years is incredible.

What I really love about the Great Taste Awards is the feedback from the judges. It gives great insights into what they look for and its always nice to understand what they are thinking when they taste my honey.

But all this amazing honey is mostly down to my hard working #bees, without them there would be no #honey and without all my fantastic customers and followers there would be no Olly’s Farm.
