Podding the peas

We are getting a great crop of peas so far, think its in and around 3 kg of peas in the freezer now. I have tried 2 different ways of freezing them. The first is to place the peas on a baking tray and freeze them, then placing them in a container. The other way according to the books is to blanch them in boiling water for 30 seconds, then cooling them in cold water, drying them off and freezing them. I think I like the just freezing them better, but will have to wait and see how they both get on cooking with them.
