A rare Summer harvest with a wild mountain twist.

Typically light and floral, our 2025 Powerscourt Summer harvest is beautifully unique. Alongside the nectar from the estate’s famous kilometre-long Lime Avenue, an early bloom on the Sugar Loaf and Glencullen mountains has infused this batch with wild Heather, resulting in a deeper colour and a richer, more robust flavor.

When the Mountains Meet the Estate

The 2025 summer season in Enniskerry provided a rare treat for our bees. While they spent the early summer foraging along Powerscourt’s magnificent kilometre-long Lime Avenue and across the clover fields, an unusually early heather bloom on the nearby Sugar Loaf and Glencullen mountains changed everything.

The bees brought that wild mountain nectar back to the orchard, naturally blending it with the floral estate honey. The result is a Summer Blossom honey that is darker and more characterful than previous years, offering a perfect balance between garden sweetness and mountain depth.

Raw, Living Honey

I keep the process simple to ensure you taste every bit of that unique forage. This honey is extracted directly from the frames and passed through a coarse sieve only. By avoiding heat-treatment and fine filtration, we keep the natural pollens and enzymes intact.

Because it is 100% raw, this honey will naturally crystallize over time. This is a natural sign of purity and ensures you are getting the full nutritional benefits of real Irish honey.

An incredible companion for strong cheeses, porridge, or simply enjoyed on a warm crusty loaf.
